PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS IN GEELONG REGION

Endeavour Psychology provides the following psychological assessments for clients aged 16+ years:

• Cognitive assessments to determine intellectual functioning or giftedness.
• Assessment to diagnose learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia.
• Diagnostic assessment of adult Attention Hyperactivity Deficit Disorder (ADHD).
• Assessment of personality, achievement, working memory, or executive functioning.
• Occupation-specific psychological assessments for employment purposes.
• Career assessments and careers counselling.

Endeavour Psychology is not equipped to conduct psychological assessments for those under the age of 16 years.

Cognitive assessments explore an individual's thinking, reasoning, attention, and memory abilities. Typical tests administered during a cognitive assessment include an intelligence test (e.g., Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, WAIS-IV) and an achievement test, the results of which together provide insight into a person's abilities in the context of current functioning.  

The typical cognitive assessment process at Endeavour Psychology to diagnose a learning difficulty such as dyslexia includes:

• One initial 50-minute consultation to gather history,
• A one-hour consultation to conduct an ability test,
• A one-hour consultation to conduct an achievement test,
• One 50-minute feedback session to discuss your assessment results and answer any questions you may have, and
• A written report detailing your assessments, results, and strengths-based recommendations.
